in photoshop, using a touch pad on a new MacBook, my tools keep sticking, particularly the paint and erase tools. Modifier keys are beginning to stick as well. Big problem!!

I am using the touchpad on a new MacBook Pro. The paint tool and eraser tool stay engaged after I have released the tools, sometimes for several seconds. I am also beginning to have release problems with the modifier keys. How can I fix this?
