In Photoshop version 26.2.0, the color picker is extremely slow.

In Photoshop version 26.2.0, I noticed that the color picker is triggered using the Alt key. However, it is very slow, causing dots to appear when using the brush tool, and the selected color does not update quickly. This issue does not occur in version 25.12.1. Please address this problem as soon as possible. The color picker feature activated by holding down the Alt button is too slow, and it ends up leaving a dot.

The color picker has gotten slightly faster, but it’s still not as fast as the previous version. The issue where dots appear is still happening, and sometimes colors don’t get selected at all. I use the color picker to quickly select colors and paint efficiently, but the slow performance is making it inconvenient.

Thanks for sharing the details and the video. Does it behave as mentioned after a specific set of steps? What troubleshooting steps have you tried already?

Test Photoshop in full-screen mode & use the mouse instead of the stylus input.

Also, please test and confirm if the issue exists with Photoshop (Beta). You can get Photoshop (beta) from the Creative Cloud > Apps tab > Beta Apps section.

Hi @BokSungah!

Unfortunately, I couldn't reproduce the issue when using the Alt key to pick a color in Photoshop. Are you using a mouse or a drawing tablet? Could you share your System Info? You can find it under Help > System Info. Just copy the info to a text file and attach it to your response.
