In search of ApplicationManager6.2_all.exe

Hi guys,

I am new to this community but have used Adobe Photoshop CS6 for a long time. I have been pushed into a situation where I have to build out a Windows 11 based laptop and need to reinstall Photoshop CS6 Extended. I have an original DVD and the install went as expected. I am now struggling with applying the official patch that will get me to the final CS6 updated status. Like many others, I have no desire to move to cloud based computing so I do not want the new updater/updates.

I have searched through many posts on here and all seem to point to the need for me to get ApplicationManager6.2_all.exe to facilitate the load of the official patch. I have clicked on numerous old dead links shown in this community and searched the internet. There are lots of fake sites out there but I have had no luck.

My request for help here I don't believe is illegal - can somebody please help me with a copy of this file? I am happy to provide proof of having the kosher media and product code. I can also provide a means to upload the file if that helps too (Dropbox).

Thanks in anticipation of any help.

A new purchase now, recently? Then you've been scammed, with 100% certainty.

Photoshop CS6 has not been legally available, anywhere, for at least 5 or 6 years. All serial numbers issued by Adobe are long gone, and the licensing serial number is what you paid for. The installer was always free.

And aside from any legal arguments, cracked software very often contains malware.

The whole "cloud-based" is an incorrect idea. The software installs and runs on your local computer as always. Its just subscription now, for better or worse, than a perpetual license.

You don't want to bother with CS6 on Windows 11 anyway. Just get the CC subscriptrion and move on.

I don't think I'm alone in my reluctance and suspicion of all things cloud that I have little control over. That has grown more and more since Windows started their death race toward AI. I use Linux mostly nowadays and maintain one laptop with Windows on it but usually operate that disconnected from internet.

@edward_4501

I get that and I absolutely sympathize. I don't know which I dislike the most - "cloud" or "AI".

The thing is, unlike most other software these days, both are easily avoided in Photohop. I can't speak for the future, but right now that is still true.

The way I use Photoshop, there isn't a cloud in sight. It's all operated on local disks, sitting physically in my machine. I don't touch any of the cloud services, and once I set up my preferences that way, I haven't been bothered since.

Similar with AI, easily avoided. The only intelligence here is my own.

Marketing loves these buzzwords, but you don't have to buy into it. Yes, licensing is checked online once every 30 days, and your bank account is charged every month. But that's the way everything works these days from my cell phone to my electricity bill.

The point is - Photoshop is the least of your worries. You should be more worried about your phone, google, meta, your car, your refrigerator etc. Microsoft is on my watchlist, but for the moment they're pretty hands off and the dodgy stuff is optional.

All this may be moot if you didn't successfully deactivate the previous install. There's also a new activation procedure that you need to follow. There should be a pinned thread on the "Download & Install" sub-forum.

You should probably concentrate on getting it activated first, before worrying about minor updates.

Thanks for your response. I am not clear on what you mean by deactivate as this is a clean installation on a laptop that has nothing on it. The old hardware has a different installation that was covered by my previous employers license. This is a new purchase of CS6 and my understanding is that I will have a problem registering a 2012 product with Adobe.

Am I wrong? I apologize if I am misunderstanding what you are saying.
