Incorrect colors when using gradient

Photoshop suddenly began displaying Lightroom images incorrectly until toggling Proof Colors (Command+Y). Around the same time, I had an action I used regularly to produce a sun flare, and all of the sudden the Gradient Fill colors no longer match the same HEX/RGB values used previously. Existing TIFFs when the colors were applying correctly and exported back to lightroom display correctly when opened in photoshop again, but newly created gradients appear less saturated despite identical RGB values. Photoshop preferences have been reset, i've uninstalled and reinstalled, and the issue persists.

RGB/Hex numbers are color space specific. Different color spaces will yield different colors from the same numbers.

Is there an embedded document color profile, and which one is it?

Hi @Bryndle33324492m6sd, welcome to the Photoshop Community Forum! This is likely a GPU/color management display issue. Let's try a few things to see if we can fix this issue.

Disable "Precise color management for HDR display": Go to Preferences → Technology Previews and uncheck "Precise color management for HDR display" if it's enabled. Restart Photoshop.
Reset color management settings: Go to Edit → Color Settings and confirm your working space is set to sRGB (or your expected profile). Ensure "Proof Colors" (Cmd+Y) is toggled off during normal editing.
Check GPU settings: Go to Preferences → Performance and try switching the GPU drawing mode from "Advanced" to "Normal" or "Basic".

Thanks so much for these steps. I went through 1 and 2 and no difference. I’m attaching an image example. The one with the vibrant orange sun glow is the original that was completed a few weeks ago. I haven’t changed anything since then. Then all of a sudden if i created the same radial gradient using the exact same color codes in color picker (stop color) it comes muddy and de saturated and not close to the colors I originally chose at all. So you could see clearly, I moved the radial gradient to more of the side of the light in the background.
