Increasing Font Size Deletes the Text Copy

Whenever i'm trying to increase the font size from the task bar on the top, the font gets deleted automatically. Please fix this. Attached the video of the issue I'm facing.

@OM PANDEY It doesn't look like it but this is acting like a text frame, not a single line edit.

Single line would be you click once with the type tool and add your text, it can get as large as you want:

 

A Text Frame is created when you click and drag and give it a container to put your text in.

If the size exceeds that area it gets cut off:
