Is it possible to run JSX script without opening Photoshop?

Is it possible to run a script in background, means without opening Photoshop GUI Window?

If I implement a c++ plugin, is it possible to run it without launching Photoshop?

As per my current understanding, it is not possible. Could you please confirm?
