I have a trackpad and will never go back to a mouse. It's so much more effecient. Just a little pinch to zoom in and out.

Funny how different people like using the computer. I've owned maybe a dozen laptops and MUCH prefer a mouse to a trackpad or trackball.

In ~47 years of using computers, I have never once used the scroll wheel to zoom.

I don't use it either.

Most of the time I only use Fit on screen (Ctrl + 0) and 100% (Ctrl + 1).

I occasionally use 200% or more when retouching.

When I still had a mouse with a scroll wheel, I used it for what the name says: To scroll. I would zoom using the standard keyboard shortcuts, and still do.

I don't have a scroll wheel mouse any more, now I have trackpads and a graphics tablet. So today I zoom using trackpad gestures and keyboard shortcuts.
