Is there a way to crop along the guide line?

I would like to crop this center image to fit between the guide lines.

If I select the Crop Tool, I will crop the entire 10000px canvas which I do not want to do. I only want to crop this one image layer, in this one guide frame, within this one box. That is it. This is a document with over 50 images layered into one, I can't have 50+ tabs open in Photoshop my computer will explode.

Is cropping a single image, using the guides that seem to lock on for everything else, not possible in PS 2025? What is the best workflow for this scenario that doesn't explode my computer?

As @jane-e already explained, do not crop; instead, mask that layer/image. Create a selection using the Rectangular Marquee tool with the Style in the options bar set to Normal (see screenshot), then click on Create Layer Mask at the bottom of the Layers panel. If you insist on deleting pixels, right-click on the mask and select Apply Layer Mask. This won't work when working with a Smart Object layer, which must be rasterized to apply the layer mask and delete pixels hidden by the mask.

Another method to delete pixels is to create a selection, invert it, and press Delete. It is advisable to create a layer mask instead of permanently deleting pixels, just in case.
