Is there a way to turn off the sample text in the Photoshop Character palette? I thought I had this one solved by just setting the "Number of Recent Fonts to Display" to "0" but now the previews are back and I can't turn them off.

Is there a way to turn off the sample text in the Photoshop Character palette? I thought I had this one solved by just setting the "Number of Recent Fonts to Display" to "0". This tactic has worked for years and it was working but now the previews are back even with the 0 recent fonts set. I can't figure out how turn them off and I’m about ready to uninstall the most recent Photoshop updates.

In Photoshop go to Type>Font Preview Size and select None.

About the only other thing you can do is click on Collapse class and tag list to make the font list more like it was in older Photoshop versions.

thanks Jeff! I figured it out after I posted my question. Now, is there a way to make the font selection list normal looking instead of the enormous mess that it is? Not everyone wants or

needs to categorize and tag all their fonts like this. :)
