Question

Issue naming files AI generated files

Until yesterday, I used BIng to generate AI images.
I down load the image I wanted and it opened directly into photoshop.
I then saved the image using the "prompt" I used to create the image in bing.
If the name was then too long I deleted from the end of the name.
SUDDENLY now it only uses the first 5 characters of the prompt and adds a  hyphen and a number.
It shows in Bridge with the silly shortened name but in Photoshop in the recently used files the name is correct.
Even trying to rename it - it does not always work and gives another version of the silly name but now silly  2. If you try again you get silly name 3!
I have sent hours on the phone with the help desk and they cannot solve the problem
They suggest I only use express - which I do not like.
I want to be able to use BING as I did until yesterday!

Please provide some examples of the prompts which you are trying to use as filenames, screenshots to illustrate etc. Do the prompts include multiple period characters, commas or other characters which may create problematic or illegal file names?

Rather than naming in Photoshop when saving, what happens if you rename before opening in Photoshop, renaming at the operating system level.

Can I presume that you copied the prompt to the clipboard from Bing, before downloading and opening the file into Photoshop?

Can you list step by step your exact workflow?
