Issue with Photoshop workspace and colors displayed

You haven't solved the problem. You have just disabled color management completely, so that all icc profiles are ignored.

It's not the monitor itself - it's the profile stored in the icc profile folder, on your system drive, in the computer.

You're confusing monitor profile with calibration. They're two separate and different things. The monitor profile is a standard icc profile, just like e.g. Adobe RGB or sRGB. Like any other icc profile, the monitor profile is a description, a map, of a color space. It doesn't do anything! It just has to describe the color space correctly.

Photoshop uses the monitor profile in a standard profile conversion, executed on the fly as you work, from the document profile into your monitor profile. If the monitor profile is not accurate, Photshop cannot display correctly.

After a lot of tinkering tonight, I found the problem.  It was NOT a calibration issue.  I went to EDIT and ASSIGN PROFILE.  The images were using Adobe RGB (1998) in Photoshop.  I switched it to Working RGB and the color shift instantly went away.  It also removed the color shift when I selected DON'T COLOR MANAGE THIS DOCUMENT.

I'm happy to supply those but the problem actually exists with ANY monitor I connect the device to.  I do have a calibration tool and have used it recently.  It didn't fix the problem.  I don't have this issue with any other software I use and I never had this issue until about 3 months ago.  I have multiple docking stations for the device AND the issue occurs even when the laptop is not connected to a docking station.  

If the problem were an issue with the monitor profile, you're telling me that EVERY monitor profile on the laptop is buggy?  

I know this isn't a color calibration issue because otherwise the color shift would be happening with all the different software.

That's a common misunderstanding. This is in fact precisely an indication that the monitor profile is the problem. A bad monitor profile will usually affect applications differently. Today the monitor profile conversion is done in the GPU, so a buggy driver may not handle the profile correctly. Are you using a calibrator to make your monitor profiles?

In a multi monitor setup it can also happen that some applications use the wrong monitor profile.

But it's impossible to tell without seeing screenshots from Photoshop, Lightroom and ACR. Please include the application interface so we see which is which.
