Just downgraded plan from Creative pro to Photography and now Im getting glitches and artifacts.

For background, from what version did you upgrade?

Another consideration besides shutting down the GPU is to go back to the previous version.

These are usually to do with GPU glitches.  I am just an occassional Mac user, and not familiar with their video drivers, but  also check your GPU settings in Preferences > Performance tab. If you turn off GPU accelleration and the glitches disappear, then you'll know it is a GPU issue.
