Question

keep document window positioned

I have a large widescreen monitor - 34" — I like -- need -- to have the main document I'm working on centred on the screen.

Photoshop does not respect this. Every time I do an operation - save, resize etc. - the window is snapped to the extreme left.

Stop doing this!!!!!! Leave the bloody window alone!!!!!

Hi @macandrew, thanks for reaching out!
Could you share a bit more info, like which version of Photoshop and macOS you're using? That’ll help us better understand what might be going on.
As a first step, I’d suggest resetting your Photoshop preferences to bring the app back to its default settings. Just a heads-up, this will remove any custom brushes, workspaces, etc., so it’s a good idea to back them up first.
Here’s a quick guide: https://adobe.ly/48SSDV0
Thanks again!

@Aleke MacOS 26.0.1, Photoshop is up to date. Resetting the prefs did not fix the problem. I should mention that I have Window -> Application Frame disabled.

Hey @macandrew

Could you please share a screen recording of the issue you're experiencing? I tried to reinstall on my computer using the same OS, but I haven't been able to do it. Do you have any Apps like Magnet or system settings that may be causing this to happen?
