Keyboard Shortcuts and Workspaces - I can't easily access and import previous KBSC files
I've used PS for 2 decades now. I used to be able to click a KBSC file and it would instantly load as a new workspace/keyboard shortcut. Now it does nothing. I spent all morning looking for information on trying to manually install or import via another method like dropping the file in the preferences folder for the system and I've reached the limit of understanding and find a way to achieve what was so simple some years ago.
The reason I'm trying to do this is because I reset my workspace by mistake and all my keyboard shortcuts for that workspace was lost.
Since I had previously saved it and often modified it via the KBSC panel I thought I could easily point to the previous version and I'd be set. Or get the KBSC from my other computer and bring the workspace and KBSC back to the previous version.
So can someone explain why things are more difficult now to do something that was so easy just some years ago? And can you give me a way or method to do what I'm trying to do. Perhaps I need to learn how to think about workspaces differently since it's obviously not the same. What's the point of the "Reset" (your workspace) under Window>Workspace if it will delete all your KBSCs and then you have a useless workspace you may have spent a long time modifying?
That is why I used to save the KBSC (or thought I did with the lastest versions of PS) and modified them and thought they were stored in a folder I can easily access and if anything would go wrong I'd simply double click the KBSC file and it would adjust my workspace and change all my preferences to what I prefer.
