Question

Keyboard shortcuts not working in Photoshop 21.2 on macOS Catalina

In Photoshop 21.2 on CatalinaOS, I'm experiencing an issue where the keyboard commands CMD+C, CMD+V, CMD+X and CMD+A don't work. I can CMD+C from the keyboad in Photoshop but can't CMD+V; I have to use the mouse right-click to paste it. The same version of Photoshop on Mojave, High Sierra and Sierra work fine.

Anyone else experiencing this? I know it has been a bug in the past on Illustrator.

Try Edit > Keyboard Shortcuts. Hold down the Option key and the Cancel button will change to Reset.

Click on Reset and see if that works.

Sadly, resetting the preferences changed nothing

Hi there,

Sorry to hear that shortcuts are not working in the latest version of Photoshop. Could you please try resetting the preferences of Photoshop and let us know if it helps? https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Note: Make sure that you back up all your custom presets, brushes & actions before restoring Photoshop's preferences. Migrate presets, actions, and settings

Regards,
Sahil

Any further suggestions? Will this be corrected in any update?
