Laggy Mission Control on MacOS Sonoma

Mission Control is laggy when Photoshop is Open. This is especially true when it is the "active window" but it is still present even with it isn't the active window. This is actually true with Indesign and Illustrator as well. Here is a video comparing the lag when Photoshop/Illustrator/Indesign is open versus when it is not.  I'm using the most recent version of Photoshop (v. 25) but It happened in the previous version as well which is why I updated because I hoped it would fix it.

Does anyone know if this issue will be – or has been – resolved in MacOS 26? We've been experiencing this issue since Sonoma.

The lag continues on Sequoia and with Adobe 2025 applications.

Adobe has released the 2025 version of the applications, and I’m going to test it on my brother’s MacBook, which is running Sequoia.

Has anyone updated to Sequoia and can tell if the problem still persists?

I am on Air M3 (Sequoia) and problem is still there, but it is not as laggy as it is used to be.

Open photoshop. Click on windows tab & find application frame & uncheck.
Thank me later,
Enjoy

I updated here hoping it would be resolved, but the problem persists. Indeed, when I disable the application frame, the lag disappears! It is clear that the problem is with the Adobe applications.

Thanks for the tip!

After a lot research I found out its a sampling display setting.

If you run native display resolutions it doesnt lag...

when you change the current resolution then the lag begins.

Running fine on my 4K monitor (but everything is too small, especially photoshop that doesnt have setting for bigger UI)

So check your resolutions and see!
