Lasso Tool selection snapping back when trying to drag with move tool small increments

Question

This is a problem I've had for years, I can't find a solution online so I thought I would document it to share and start a dialogue. I just want to be able to move my selections by small amounts again!

Snapping is not enabled, this is photoshop 2024, but I've had the same issue with older versions of photoshop. Is this just a setting tick box I've missed?

@Alex29721129o4h5 I just tested on my PC with Photoshop version 26.11 on Windows and cannot reproduce the issue, have you tried updating Photoshop to the latest version and or manually resetting the preferences

Hey! I have the SAME EXACT issue and its driving me absolutely crazy…. and I am using newest possible photoshop update - when I try move some selection by a small amount it keeps snapping back in. All snapping options are disabled. Issue is not present in 2021 version, but 2025 and 2026 newest has it and it drives me absolutely insane. Only workaround is to move selection a bit farther and then move it back in to where You wanted it which is complete waste of time and patience…anyone else or any other solution for this?
