Layer masks suddenly not working

My layer masks in Photoshop have randomly stopped working. Everytime I try to use the eraser, paint brush or any other tool on it, nothing happens. I've tried troubleshooting via Google but all of the suggested solutions (blend mode to 'normal' etc.) to fix the problem have already been done in my settings (screen grab attached). 

 

Has anyone had this issue before and know how to fix it? My version of Photoshop is 24.7.0 Release and I'm using a mac OS Ventura 13.5.1 laptop.

    What is your Foreground Color in the Tools Panel?

     

     

    Can you post a screenshot of the whole Photoshop interface including an example image, layers panel, tool options for the Brush Tool and tools panel?
