Question

Lightroom and Photoshop Flicker and crashes

I have searched on this forum for months but no luck.

My photoshop and lightroom classic has been working fine on my laptop, but with my stationary computer it just flickers slightly in all menues and runs incredibly slow until it crashes.

I have tried to re install, turn off processor and increase catche. All of these have helped slightly but the main problem remains.

No issues with any other adobe programs.

Windows 11

Lightroom Classic V.14.3

Hey, @Tonks27167563cipl. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I'll need more information to help you figure this out. Please share the system information from Photoshop Help > System Info > Copy and paste it into a text document > Upload and attach it here.

Also, have you tried using Photoshop (beta)? You can go to Creative Cloud > Apps section > Beta Apps tab.

Try these steps to get Photoshop to behave as expected:

  • Do you use any plugins? If yes, try to hold the shift key when launching Photoshop to skip loading any plugins.
  • Try booting the Windows device in Safe Mode with networking to check how Photoshop behaves: https://adobe.ly/43BzvZ3

Let me know how it goes. Thanks!

check your video card driver to make sure you're using the current studio (not gamer) version.

in the future, to find the best place to post your message, use the list here, https://community.adobe.com/

p.s. i don't think the adobe website, and forums in particular, are easy to navigate, so don't spend a lot of time searching that forum list. do your best and we'll move the post (like this one has already been moved) if it helps you get responses.
