Lightroom developed files edited in Photoshop to display Lightroom adjustments when transferred to Photoshop

Lightroom Classic 15.4.1 + Photoshop 27.9.0 fails to transfer Develop adjustments from Fuji RAF and Sony ARW files through Edit In → Photoshop. Photoshop Beta 27.10 works correctly with the same Lightroom files and settings.

    Hi @SALevy5,

Thanks for reporting this. First, please update to Lightroom Classic 15.5 and 27.9.1 and check the workflow again.

Since you’ve confirmed that the same files and Develop adjustments transfer correctly in Photoshop Beta 27.10, I’d recommend testing again once the Photoshop 27.10 release becomes available.

Please let us know whether the issue persists with Lightroom Classic 15.5 + Photoshop 27.9.1 & LrC 15.5 + PS 27.10 beta. If it does, we can check and ask the product team to investigate further.

    Best,

This looks like a version-specific bug in Photoshop 27.9.0's Camera Raw/Develop-sync pipeline, since Photoshop Beta 27.10 handles the same files/settings correctly that strongly suggests it's already fixed internally and should land in the next stable release.

A few things worth checking/trying in the meantime:

    • Confirm the Camera Raw plugin version matches between stable 27.9.0 and Beta 27.10 (Help → System Info in both apps)
    • Try "Edit In → Open as Smart Object" instead of the default Edit In flow — sometimes bypasses the sync bug
    • Check if disabling GPU acceleration in Camera Raw preferences (Preferences → Performance) changes the behavior
    • Test with a freshly rendered preview cache in Lightroom (Library → Previews → Build Standard-Sized Previews) in case it's a stale cache issue rather than the transfer itself

Since Beta already resolves it, this is most likely a matter of waiting for the next stable patch. If it's consistently reproducible, reporting it via Help → Report a Problem in Photoshop (referencing that 27.10 Beta works fine) will help get it prioritized.

I found Photoshop 27.9.1 to download and updated to LRc 15.5. This seems to have solved my problem. Images from LR are now transferring into PS with the LR adjustments. Thanks for your help
