If you want to create perfect shapes on which brushes are applied to you can use the vector shape tools to draw a path like an ellipse or use the pen tool to draw a precise path.

• After drawing the path go to the Path Panel and select your path.
• Switch to the brush tool and select your desired brush and brush color. 
• At the bottom of the Path Panel click the second icon from the left, which will fill your path with the selected brush
