Liquify tool in Photoshop 2024 is not replicating the same on different layers. Please help

Question

I understand that if the image is not cropped, with deleting pixels , there can be funky stuff with unstable liquify. But now I am applying to a solid layer and then going up to the mask layer ( for the garment ) and it's not repicating the same , when I choose last mesh or repeat from the menu. All other previous versions I have never had this problem.

Please advise, should I switch to beta?

I restarted the computer and now it is performing as expected again. Shocking that the old fashioned restart actually fixed everything. Sorry for the bother. I will keep the post up incase there is anything else to learn about this. I did have alot of glitches with my wacom pen freezing, windows from Safari not going away when I am in PS and not changing the tools with the quick keys. Sometimes I click on a file and it will open Beta and then I shut beta down.  I am thinking that might play havoc on the settings?
