Liquify Tool Majorly Delayed

I am sooo frustrated with my Liquify tool! When I am trying to use it it has a MAJOR delay and then the cursor moves on its own for like 3 minutes after I touch it. Often then I cannot even close the app and it all goes down the hill from there. Any Idea? I didn't change anything it came along after I installed the latest update. 😞
