Load actions from cs6 in 2023

I am trying to load some actions sets I have created in Photoshop CS6 into version 24.7 and I always get the message "could not load the actions because the file is not compatible with this version of photoshop". I have tried to rename the file with a simple name, such as 001.atn, with no luck.

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Correct answer TeoPap

I have to thank you all for your time and effort.

It turns out that the file had been damaged, thus the message.

I transfered it again and the file works just fine.

I'm sorry for the trouble, but I'm quite new with such problems.

The x-copy basic 01.atn you provided doesn't open here in photoshop cs6 13.0.1.3 running on Windows 11, so something happened to the action somewhere along the line.

Are you able to download the action from Google Drive and open it in photoshop cs6?

Same error, I tried to use xtools to convert to .xml or .jsx but it just kept locking up.

I have requested access.

Another option is your Adobe CC account or even WeTransfer.com

I've heard that I should use the Preset Manager but in my 2023 version all I see there are Contours and Tools.

So, I do what I always did, Load Actions, where the message appears.
I have loaded Actions 3rd party actions before, none of whom ever mentioned which version of Photoshop should anyone use, never had a problem.

As regards the link to my file, can anyone suggest a friendlier way to share it with you?

Are the photoshop versions on the same machine, or if not, how are you transferring the actions between machines?

I don't know how many users will be able to access your action from the above link since it requires an account to download.

Does anyone know if there is a way a can save myself the trouble of recreating those actions? It is not just that one file. In any case, thank you all for your responses.

If photoshop cs6 and 2023 are not on the same system, then however your transferring the actions may have caused the action to become corrupt somehow.

The actions from older photoshop versions should work in new versions of photoshop.

The two Photoshop versions are on different PCs, but they both use Windows 10
