Looking to squish middle section of an image...

I've been trying to do this for a while. I'm trying to take an image that I have and squish the middle of it. Kind of like a sideways hour glass just on one side. The closest I've been able to do is Warp. However, that doesn't evenly squish/flatten the section, it's mostly just the middle. Anyone have any suggestions? I have CC, so if Photoshop isn't the best app, let me know.

Maybe you can use puppet warp, it gives you more percise warping.

You're on the right track with Warp. I'm wondering if you're only using the handles from the corners to create the warp. You can also split the warp for added control.

If the Options bar isn't visible, go to Window > Options. Then when the layer is select and you have gone to Edit > Warp, you'll see icons for Split Warp Crosswise, Split Warp Vertically, and Split Warp Horizontally. When you click one of those, you can split the warp to add anchor points and get additional handles to warp the image. Here's more information on Warp:

You could also apply the Liquify filter (Filter > Liquify) and use its Push Left tool. Here's more information on Liquify:
