Mac Studio Liquify Delay.

Hello,

I recently purchased a Mac Studio and have been using Photoshop.

However, every time I use the Liquify filter in Photoshop, there is a noticeable delay.

Is there any way to fix this?

System specs:
CPU: M4 Max
RAM: 48GB

Thanks for reaching out! To help us get a better idea of what’s going on, could you let us know which version of Photoshop you’re using? Also, can you share a few more details about the delay you're experiencing?

One quick thing to try: go to Photoshop > Preferences > Performance and try disabling Use Graphics Processor. Let us know if that makes things better or worse — it can help narrow things down.

When you have a moment, it would also be great if you could share your System Info. You’ll find it under Help > System Info in Photoshop. Just copy it into a text file and attach it here, or feel free to share it via Google Drive, WeTransfer, or any file-sharing service you prefer.

Thank you for your quick response.
I am currently using Photoshop version 26.6.1.

After launching Photoshop, I experience delays when using Liquify and moving cropped images.
In particular, when I launch Liquify, there is a significant delay when moving the brush.

Disabling "Use Graphics Processor" has somewhat improved the brush movement speed, but it’s still not perfect.

Hey @수현35664980qt4z! Thanks for sharing your System Info — and glad to hear there's at least a slight improvement when the graphics processor is disabled.

Could you do one more thing? Go to the Help menu and click on GPU Compatibility, then send us a screenshot of the message that pops up. That’ll give us a better idea of what’s going on.

If the odd behavior continues, another thing to try is heading to Preferences > Technology Previews, enabling Older GPU Mode (Pre 2016), and then restarting Photoshop. After that, see if performance gets better or worse with that setting.
