I have been using a Macbook Pro with Intel chips.  Just ordered a new Macbook Pro that will have the M1Max chip installed.  Does Photoshop run on the M1 chip now?  Thanks.

Photoshop is mostly native on M1 devices with some remaining functionality being worked on. See https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/photoshop-for-apple-silicon.html for things you may rely on. You can run in Rosetta in the meantime if you need any of that functionality.

Thanks for your reply. I am getting the new Macbook Pro with the M1 Max
chip. I have never used Rosetta. Is there a learning curve or does
Rosetta just simply kick in and run the app?

The link I posted above has a link to Apple's site on how to enable Rosetta.

The latest subscription Photoshop runs on M1.  As well as Photoshop, look for M1 versions of all of your plugins, Intel plugins will be no use.
