MacOS 26 Tahoe continues to warn me that some features of PS26 will not work with MacOS 27.

I am running the latest Mac version of Photoshop (27.10) in MacOS Tahoe, yet every time I restart my computer I get a message that Intel apps will no longer be supported in MacOS27 Golden Gate and certain features of Photoshop 26 will no longer work in that version of the OS. Several months ago I reinstalled PS and was very careful to download the version for Apple CPUs.

I don’t understand why I continue to get this message. I hope it is just useless crud left behind from previous installs of PS and will have no effect on my work.

Please advise.

Do you have any third party plugins or legacy Extensions that would require running Photoshop 2026 under Rosetta if you wanted to use them?

No, the message does not say that. Intel apps are still supported in MacOS 27. The message warns you that this will change in the future (with MacOS 28). It is indeed most likely old stuff that is no longer used, but it is time that Adobe writes some script that cleans up their act.

You are correct. My bad. MacOS27 can not be installed on an Intel based Mac, but Intel apps will run on an Apple chipped Mac until MacOS28. Both Photoshop 26 and Lightroom Classic are Universal apps. What concerns me is that as recently as 9/21/26, there were still updates being made to Adobe Intel based apps on my M1 Ultra based Mac. Granted, these are Adobe system apps. My hope is that this will not effect the functioning of PS or LRC in the future.

One thing we’ve read is that this message comes up if you have Rosetta installed, even if you are not using it.
