Hi all,

Is it safe to install MacOS26 at this point without having issues with PS26.8.1?

Love to hear,

CHEERS

The latest release versions of After Effects, Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign are reportedly working on MacOS 26 (Tahoe).

But as usual with newly released OSs, Tahoe has some known issues that Apple needs to address.

Its working fine here on multiple machines (Intel and Apple Silicon) but YMMV. Expect officially compatible versions to be released at Adobe MAX conference coming up this month.

macOS 26 is not yet listed in the official article Adobe apps compatibility with macOS

Bugs related to macOS 26 are still being found, such as the discovery that if you have an Electron-based app running in the background, it could slow down other apps you’re trying to use until that app is fixed and updated:

still a little early to risk it.  another month or so would be safer.

    thanks very much!

was a bit anxious to install it since I couldn't find stories about 26.8.1 only older versions.

I hold my horses for now 🙂

    sure.

but be careful.  this post is now in the ps forum and some experts have no doubt done this and had no problem.  that's no assurance you won't have a problem, though.
