Maddening problem with using selection brush

Question

I try to use the selection brush, and it shows me a pop up saying it can’t import file. It thinks I’m doing something other than trying to use the selection brush. Is there any way to stop it?

t, it looks to me like you’re trying to import an svg file (“download.svg”) into Photoshop on the web.

I had no trouble importing svg files into Photoshop 2026, but failed when importing via drag-and-drop to Photoshop on the web:
