Magic WandTool

Hello!

I am trying to select a part of my image to create a mask but when I use the magic wand tool to select it it ends up selecting everything.  How can I make the magic wand tool select only what I want it to?

@katherine_5937 you're probably using the wrong tool, what exactly are you trying to select, if it's the outline the Color Range might be a better option

In addition to what Ged said, when using the Magic Wand tool, change your Tolerance to something lower than 100. The default is 32. 

 

 

I agree that you might want to use a different Selection tool in this case.
