mask, layer visibility and scaling bugs

Every now and again Photoshop seems to get a whole bunch of bugs at once. So far I have noticed:

Cannot add or subtract to a mask that you've made with lasso tool.
Alt click does not solo a layer

Scaling doesn't keep the correct ratio on transform 

it is fixed by a computer restart but not a Photoshop restart

I'm using Photoshop 25.3.1 on a mac using Ventura 13.5

    Hey, @prickkkkkk. Thanks for reaching out. I'll need more info to help you figure this out. Please share screenshots & the system info from Photoshop Help > System info > Copy & paste into a text document > upload & attach here. Does this happen as a pattern or after a series of steps?

     

    I'll move this post to discussions for now. For now, try this:

     

    Go to the location of the preference folder mentioned below and rename it to back up. (https://adobe.ly/3u7u84j)
    macOS: Hold down the Option key in the Finder when using the Go menu. The library will appear below the current user's home directory.

    Library > Preferences > Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

    Rename the Adobe Photoshop folder by adding a .old at the end. (Adobe Photoshop 2024 > Rename > Adobe Photoshop 2024.old)

    This will give a fresh start to Photoshop as a new installation.
