I have a Photoshop issue that is baffling me and would appreciate your assistance, if you don’t mind. I’m currently using Photoshop CS6 and I think a setting needs to be reset regarding layer mask. When I create a layer mask on an image and try and add some of the masked pixels back, they appear as lighter pixels and in a transparent form. Thanks Chris
There are two very important shortcuts to learn when masking in Photoshop. Tap D to reset the default colors, and tap the X to switch black and white.
Masks can be black, white and shades of gray. When you add gray to your mask you add transparency, which is what you are describing. Tap D to reset to the default black-and-white color chips, and then try again.
