Question

Multiple images in Camera Raw do not open into Photoshop 27.11

If I open 1 image into Camera Raw, adjust the sliders end then push open, the file opens into PS. All of a sudden, when I open multiple images into ACR, then push open, the previews update in Bridge but the images do not open in PS. I have to open 1 image at a time. What can be causing this?

    Hi,

This sounds like an issue with the handoff between Bridge, Camera Raw and Photoshop, particularly as individual images open correctly and Bridge is updating the previews with your adjustments.

There have been reports of almost identical behaviour in previous versions, where opening multiple files from Camera Raw simply closes Camera Raw and returns to Bridge without opening anything in Photoshop.

    Could you try the following?

    1. In Bridge, select several RAW images.

    2. Right-click and choose
      Open With > Adobe Photoshop
rather than Open in Camera Raw

    3. Once Camera Raw opens, select all the images in the filmstrip and click Open Images.

This was a successful workaround for the same issue reported previously.

If that doesn't work, try opening the same group of RAW files directly from Photoshop using

    File > Open

    bypassing Bridge entirely.

If either method works, it would suggest the problem is with how Bridge is handing the files over to Photoshop rather than the images themselves.

    Could you also confirm your

    operating system
    Bridge version
    Camera Raw version?

You've mentioned Photoshop 27.11, but knowing the other versions would help narrow things down.

There was another report on 9 October 2026 involving multiple images failing to open from Camera Raw, so it's possible we're seeing a regression rather than something specific to your installation.

Let us know how those two methods work before attempting preference resets or reinstallations.
