Im experiencing the a issue w/ the legacy multiple undo short cut command being unresponsive.
Searching the community boards i have taken serval steps none of them have worked yet.

• toggled "Use legacy shortcuts" in keyboard short cut settings

• Restored "photoshop defaults" in keyboard short cuts

• Reset Preferences on quit option unders settings menu

• quit all other running programs

• robooted the machine

• updated tablet driver

None of the steps restored legacy short cut of " comman+opt+z". it did however restore the new command+z multiple undo similar to Illustrator.

Im running PS 24.5.0 / Venutra 13.4 - just updated to ventura about a week ago. legacy short cut worked up until now.

I use this short cut quite heavily if anyone can help restoring this function it would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the dead thread resurrection. This has been bugging me for some time and I think I found a solve. The "use legacy undo" is obviously buggy–keep the option unchecked. Then change your keyboard shortcuts so cmd+z and shift+cmd+z are assigned "Step Forward" and "Step Back" respectively.

So far so good. I'm able to undo/redo like previous versions, plus I'm able to get the step back function when free transforming.

Key Board short cut.  Never programed it on the tablet.  Keyboard always seemed more natural to me

Are you using the shortcut from your keyboard or do you have it programmed to a button on your Tablet?

Updated PS to v24.6 and removed PS beta to give Adobe photoshop 2023 full disk access and restarted the machine. Unfortunatley no change.

See if going to Apple>System Settings>Security & Privacy>Full Disk Access, adding the

Adobe Photoshop 2023.app

in

Applications/Adobe Photoshop 2023

Then restarting your Mac makes any difference.

Hey Jeff,  yes there is a shortcut for Step Backward. Looks like our settings are the same.

In Edit>Keyboard Shortcuts, is there a shortcut listed for Step Backward Opt+Cmd+Z?
