Need an Update with bug fix

Dear Adobe Support Team,

I am writing to share feedback on several performance issues I’ve encountered with Photoshop and Lightroom since the recent update. I hope this input helps your team address these problems in future releases.

In Photoshop:

  1. Subject Selection: The subject selection tool has become significantly slower and less accurate. The cloud-based option, which was previously reliable, now struggles to select subjects properly. This is impacting my workflow, as I rely heavily on accurate selections for professional projects.
  2. Tool Switching: Switching between tools has become unresponsive, requiring multiple attempts to activate shortcuts. This delay has introduced a lot of friction in my work process and feels particularly noticeable when moving quickly between selection and editing tools.

In Lightroom:

  1. Overall Slowness: Since the update, Lightroom has become notably sluggish. Basic actions like importing, adjusting, and exporting images take longer than usual, slowing down my editing process considerably. I’ve optimized the software settings and cleared the cache, but the issue persists.

Both applications are crucial to my work, and these performance issues are creating significant workflow disruptions. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on additional optimizations or information about upcoming fixes.

Hi @JIBX,

Thanks so much for reaching out and sharing your feedback and concerns! I’ve moved your post from Bugs to Discussions for now while we gather more information.

Could you please share your System Info? You can find it by going to Help > System Info while in Photoshop.

For the Lightroom performance issue, could you also create a post in the Lightroom Community here:

https://adobe.ly/4esoBXB Be sure to include your system details and the information you’ve shared above.

Thank you for helping us take a closer look!
