new 3d extrusion error

everytime I try to create a new 3d layer instead of bringing up the 3d viewpoit my layer just disappears from the screen. seems like a simple fix but i dont know where to start.

@Kyle28450945kunu 3D features are been discontinued in Photoshop, if you want to continue using 3D features, version 22.2 is available from the Creative Cloud app
