New Update Photoshop25 and no generative fill

Hi, I just had an update from Adobe photoshop 2024 to 2025 and when I select an item with the tool the generative fill is greyed out and won't let me type anything in it. I even make another layer and it still doesn't work. Does anyone know the possible solution or why this would happen? Thanks
