No Marching Ants from saved selection

Hi All,

just noticed:

when I recall a previously saved selection ... no marching ants showing. I made sure I had the selection NOT hidden (Ctrl+H).

After much trying I was able to get the ants going when I first opened another file with the same selection.

But mainly ... without another file open ... I found out I can make the selection / ants visible by enlarging the image (Ctrl and +).

The size to start with makes no difference ... selection/ants only show when enlarging the image one step up with Ctrl and +.

Is there a reason for that?

Am I missing something here?

A selection is stored as an alpha channel.

Select > load selection, or simpler, just ctrl-click the channel.

but my question ws not where a selection is stored.

After opening it from stored, as e.g. Selections > Load Selection ... nothing is happening.

NO Ants.

Ah, OK. That sounds like a GPU/driver bug.

What GPU do you have? Have you updated the driver recently?
