I am having a problem with photoshop not exporting or save large images to pdf.

This is a huge problem for anyone who is using photoshop for large format printing.

The RIP software works with pdf files.

Is there a work around for this.

It is critical for anyone in the large format printing industry.

If the image is very large, check the document’s pixel dimensions and file size first. Photoshop recommends using PSB (Large Document Format) for files over 30,000 pixels or 2 GB. For large-format printing, one workaround is to save the original as a PSB, then make a flattened copy and try saving/exporting that for the RIP. You can also check the required resolution and dimensions with Image > Image Size before creating the print file.

If the PDF still won't save, it would help to know the image dimensions, file size, Photoshop version, and the exact error/message you're getting.

For very large Photoshop files, I’ve found it helps to keep the original as a PSB and create a separate flattened copy for the PDF. Also check the document size and resolution before exporting, since very large dimensions can cause problems. If it still fails, checking the exact file size and error message would help narrow down the issue.
