Not recovering conundrum

Question

I am using Photoshop 25.11 on my work PC using windows 11.     Up until recently, when PS would crash (AND IT CRASHES OFTEN THESE DAYS! )   When I restarted PS i would get nearly all of my open files recovered, Especially the one i was last working on!  This hasnt happened the last 3 crashes, am I missing something? Did adobe offer another helpful feature that turns out to be something that users HATE!   Please advise, because this is causing me much grief.

Crash recovery works the same as it always did. It will save recovery information at the interval set in Preferences > File Handling provided that the open file has already been saved.

As an aside, have you looked for the reasons for the crashes? I use Photoshop daily, currently v26.2 and can't remember the last time it crashed.
