Not working AI AND BLUR

I've been using the eraser tool in PhotoShop all day, every day, and it suddenly stopped working. I'm on the correct layer, no layers are locked, and the other tools work. I've tried closing and reopening the file and restarting the application. Any thoughts as to what may be going on here?

Could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Layers, Options Bar, …) visible?

One thing also worth doing is reboot your computer.

For the erasor not working is disussed in the link below and what helped in that case was to resett the Eraser tool.
