Object Selection Tool Shift + Delete not working

Question

When I use the Object Selection Tool and then do Shift + Delete to delete and fill, the Fill dialog box appears to fill the foreground or background color and does not do the Delete and Fill command. Initially it had been working, but discontinued to work at some point. I can Shift+Control (right click) to access the Delete and Fill however.

A bug?

Are you trying to open the Fill dialog or use the shortcuts to fill a selection? Can you clarify what you mean by the "Delete and Fill" command?
