Offset in all brushes & lasso selections

Photoshop 23.5.1

CC 5.9.0.372

Hey guys,
intresting bug popped up today, best described in the attachment.
All tools using brushes and all lasso selection tools, jump to an offset from where the cursor actually starts the stroke or selection.

Steps taken, without success:

  • reset brush settings — Weirdly there's always a spacing, even if I had set it to 1 or 0 before. But regardless, that also doesn't explain why the selection tools behave that way as well.
  • reset all tools
  • reset prefs completely
  • switched to default Workspace Essentials layout, rather than my own
  • made sure current Nvidia driver is installed
  • tried previous Nvidia driver
  • made sure current Logitech Options+ mouse driver is installed (MX Master 3)
  • deactivated Logitech Options+ mouse layout for PS
  • There were no system changes, updates or plugins installed before the issue occured.

Short of a fresh install, I'm out of ideas really and appreciate any thoughts! Thanks!

Hi!

I noticed you made sure that the current Nvidia driver was installed, but did you try turning off your Graphics Processor to see if that made a difference? Go to Preferences>Performance and uncheck Use Graphics Processor. Then restart and let us know if the problem persists? If it does, then you can turn your GP back on again and we will look elsewhere.

Hi! Thanks for your feedback, yes the driver is updated and I tried also with Graphic processor off but no improvement.

Again the offset issue appears evey time i go to PS from LR with the Photo-->Edit In-->Adobe PS 2024

Hi @EUGENIO34508167d0cb

This is very srange and I am at a loss as to why this is happening. Did you upgrade anything before this started? Do you remember changing any settings before it started happening? What was the last thing you did in Photoshop before this?
