Oil Paint filter not working although everything is compatible
Hello,
I have been trying to put the Oil Paint filter into operation for a few days now and I am already clueless. I tried all the tips I found on the forums and Adobe Support. None of the following helped:
RGB, 8 bit, latest GPU driver (several different tried), checked OpenCL in Preferences > Performance, Reset Preferences on Quit in Preferences > General, etc.
In Photoshop 2021 and 2019, OpenCL is grayed out and cannot be checked at all.
Now I have Photoshop 2022 (v.23.0). OpenCL can be checked or unchecked, but nothing changes. The filter can be opened, but it does not work, and the message appears: "Display driver problems and enhancements for this feature that use graphics hardware have been temporarily disabled. This error can usually be fixed by updating the display driver."
My AMD Radeon R7 200 graphics card driver is the latest.
According to all system requirement lists, my card is Photoshop compatible. Even Photoshop itself reports everything OK in the GPU Compatibility window:
OpenGL is available
OpenCL is available
DirectX is available
Enough VRAM (2126 MB of the required 1500 MB)
My card has OpenGL 4.6 and OpenCL 1.2, which everywhere says is enough.
I have:
Intel (R) Core (TM) i7 CPU 870 2.93 GHz
8 GB RAM
Win10 64-bit
Everything works for me, including Neural Filters. Only Oil Paint not.
Would anyone know where the problem is and how to fix it? I'm already desperate.
Thank you.
