Question

Oil Paint, Intel HD Graphics 5500 [2016]

I am running the most current version of PS on my Lenovo ThinkPad, T550. I'm running Windows 10 64-bit.

The Oil Paint feature is not grayed out, but simply doesn't work; nothing happens when I apply this style.

Adobe support has told me that the Intel HD Graphics 5500 in my laptop does not supported this feature (even though the website specifically lists the Intel HD Graphics 5000 as being tested and compatible. (I was told that it just says "Intel HD Graphics 5000" and not 5000 "series".) So, let me get this straight, I've got a newer laptop, and while the 5000 is supported, the 5500 is not?! I find this very difficult to believe.

The graphics driver is up to date (ran the update through Lenovo a couple days ago). I even installed and downloaded, "Intel SDK for OpenCL Applications 2016 R2 for Windows* (64 bit)" which didn't seem to do anything.

Any suggestions?

I have the same problem. I searched and did anything and ask experts many times, but they could not help me. My Adobe Photoshop is the last version.

All I can state is my Surface Pro 3 has Intel HD 5000 graphics and Photoshop advanced GPU settings mode is advanced and the first   three options are checked use gpu, openCL and Anti-alias.  Oil Painter works.
