Open Images As Layers In Photoshop are not same size

RAW files from Canon TS 17mm are cropped when opened as layers from Lightroom Classic 15.0.1 to Photoshop 2026 27.0.0 on Mac Tahoe 26.1 - see screenshots. Does anyone know why this is happening or have they figured out a work around or fix? It's only happening with some files. Many thanks in advance.

Hi @elizabethb72901627, thanks for sending over your screenshots. Let's try a few things to troubleshoot this cropping issue:

1. Check Camera Settings: Turn off in-camera aspect ratio settings or lens corrections that might be embedded in the RAW file metadata.

2. Reset Crop: Try resetting the crop in Lightroom and re-opening it in Photoshop.

3. Reset Lightroom Classic Preferences: Please take a look at this Helpx article for steps.  https://adobe.ly/3HsQXpA It is recommended to back up your catalog before resetting preferences. For more information, you can refer to this article: https://adobe.ly/4dW8vqF.

Let's try these things first and see if it helps. If you continue to experience these issues, would you send some example images that illustrate this problem? Thanks! ^CH

Someone on another thread suggested building 1:1 previews in Lightroom and that worked. Thanks!

Please do not use file attachments as many people here will not download them. Instead, use the "Insert Photos" icon and include your screen capture in your message.
