I have made a photoswhop composition that I require on an older version of photoshop, I believe it is the 2017 version. However, at home on my laptop I am unable to open the file that I urgently need. Please can someone tell me how I can access the file.

Opening an file created in an older version with a newer version of Photoshop should not be an issue. The other way around could cause issues as obviously not all functions in newer versions were available in the old. It is more likely that you have a corrupt file.

To confirm, are you saying the image was created in PS 2017 and you can't open it in a newer version? Which version do you have?

I think the reason you can't open it is that it is a corrupted file, not because it was created in an older version. Can you post a link using your Creative Cloud account or Dropbox?

Since your question is about Photoshop, I have moved it from the "Get Started" forum for you.

What happens when you try to open it? Did you save it with ‘maximum compatibility”?
