P: PS 27.4 Shape Paths don't appear live when transformed using Move Tool > Transform Controls

Why is it that when we change a shape's radius or proportions, we don't see the changes in real-time?

What’s strange is that when we adjust the radius via the Properties panel, we can at least see the path changing. But when we try to do the same thing using the mouse, we’re left guessing what the actual rounding level is until we release the mouse button.

This is one of many UX pain points that designers have been dealing with for decades in Adobe products.

There was a similar bug in version 26.8, but that was fixed in version 26.9

To be honest, I don't quite get how this forum works. I posted under “Feature Requests” but it ended up being tagged as a “question” 🙈

Hey, @artur_0832. I understand it might be confusing. Other moderators and I tend to move posts to Idea and Bugs only when they can be treated as either. For now, I understand that this behavior stands out and needs the team’s review.

@artur_0832 in the video you posted you’re using the Beta version of Photoshop, I tested with version 27.4, and it’s working as expected for me as well

No, you're mistaken. Even in the stable build, we can't see the corner radius interactively anymore after clicking.

I was testing with the shape tool, I didn’t notice that you were using the move tool with the show transform controls enabled, that’s not something that I really use, but you are correct the issue appears with the move tool selected

I cannot replicate that. Here, the path changes ‘live’ whether I use the mouse in the properties panel or drag the corner handles on the screen.
Photoshop 27.4.0 with ‘Modern User Interface’ enabled, Windows 11 Pro 25H2, GPU RTX3090 24GB
