Pattern Overlay isn't working

I'm trying to apply a Pattern on an empty layer using Layer Style and the Pattern Overlay but every time I tried to nothing happens and I don't really know why it is happening. I'm using Photoshop (Beta) 25.11 on Windows 10 Pro.

    I just realized that I needed to fill the layer with something to make the pattern happen 🙂
